In this classic experiment, from the Royal Society of Chemistry, students extract iron from breakfast cereal. Using a magnet students investigate dry and wet cereal. They then crush the cereal in a pestle and mortar and are able to separate the iron. The resource is set out as teachers' notes followed by the students' page which presents the task to be investigated.
